Mining Accidents
Main family lines are Harpers from Midlothian, Fife & Kinross-shire, and Dobies/Dobbies from Midlothian. Also Strathearn, Stobie, Layden and Downie.

Hi Meg
Thanks for the link, I found the death of an ancestor whos death certifcate stated he had died after a "load of coal" fell on him, age 23.
The link gave me the name of the mine and the owners name,plus the info on his death certificate, great-thanks.
