1911 census

Post by Eileen » Tue Jan 13, 2009 7:13 pm

Hi All
Just heard on the news 1911 census for England and Wales has been released online. Don't know where and unfortunately not scotland.
Scotland's People seem to confirm this with a bit about the release.

Hi Eileen,

It made it into the news today, but was written about here in TalkingScot yesterday. TalkingScot - keeping ahead. :D

All the best,

Andrew

Hi Eileen
You've obviously seen:

We'll just have to wait, but to be honest, I'm OK with that, as much as I'd like to see the 1911. Promises are promises.

Best wishes
Lesley

Hi

Just used the new 1911 census-good stuff, lots on there to keep me occupied with my English family found 4 already and have laid a few querys to rest.

Very easy to use but thank goodness I only have a debit card -at 30 credits to veiw it would turn out to be expensive, will be better when "Find my Past" add it to their subscrition list.

Happy hunting
:D

My wife rushed to use it when she found out yesterday only to be slightly dissappointed. Found her grandmonther in a school the page she looked at was full of pupils however it did not give an address. Couldn't find her great grandmother or great grandfather any where even though we know that the ggrandmother didn't die until 1919. Couldn't find another relative we know was alive either so perhaps we are doing something wrong.
