Hi Jan:

I wasn't able to get the above link to work, but it does work, if you only enter part of the address http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsea ... html#start

It looks like the IGI (International Genealogical Index) http://www.familysearch.org/eng/Search/ ... search.asp is revising its look to conform with the page styles of other Ancestry.com products.

Hey,

This has been available on the Family Search website for some time now.

http://www.familysearch.org/eng/default.asp

Click the bit where it says 'see prototype for millions of records'

You probably were just so eager to search, ya just missed it. :D

Hi Jan,
I've been using the Pilot site for ages now. They even have the Irish Indexs to BMDs that you would have to pay for on Emerald Ancestors.

Hi Heather,

I haven't been able to find the Irish Indexes on the pilot programme for a while now...are you still able to view them, and if so, where?

Regards,
Anne H

Hi Anne,
I can still view the Irish Civil Reg. Index's
If you look at the top after making a search you will see...
Narrow by: Place, Date, Collection, Gender, Last Names, First Names, Record Type, Role and Event Type
Click Collection and on the right side of the list 2nd down you will see...
Ireland, Civil Registration Index's 1845-1958
And Bob's your Uncle.
Happy Hunting,
Heather
