Is there by any chance anybody out there researching into the Comrie family of 40,Newtown Street,Kilsyth. My ggrandfather David Comrie lived here in 1891. He died in 1886.The family are shown still resident in 1901 under the misspelling of Connie. Margaret is now the head. I am trying to establish what happened to the family after 1901. Regards. Jas.

It's tough when you hit that timeline zone when an IGI parent search does you no good and the census runs out. :( For the expenditure of a few credits on SP you should be able to flesh out more of the family tree though. :D Here's a few clues to further research to get you started...

Mum Margaret dies in 1904 and son James in the informant.
Wee Daniel grows up to be a watchmaker and dies single in Larbert 1936
Daniel's informant is a brother in law named Robertson.

Best wishes
Jean
