Have you looked at the actual OPR entry? sometimes a parent is mentioned at the time of marriage, if there was a conscientious clerk involved

It doesn't look as if either of them lived until 1855 either :(
Is this the extended family in 1841?

The naming pattern of Childen can often help work out parents' names, though the IGI only seem to have George 1805 belonging to the couple.

Thank you Wilma very much. Have tried to look at OPR on S/P but the File will not open nothing wrong with my Java have contacted them as the marriage is there but they say it opens their end, very frustrating. That is why I posted on here as it is the last lot of info I need to complete this Tree, once again thank you. Liz :D :D

Hi Liz
If you change you settings on SP to Direct Download rather than the java option, you may find you can view the OPRs

Best wishes
Lesley

Someone more technical might be able to help you get the image from SP, I can never remember which method is best to use.

If you really cannot open it I'd ask SP to send you a 'hard' copy by post.

I had thought of checking a gravestone for hopefully some family detail, but The Aberdeen & North-East Scotland Family History Society http://www.anesfhs.org.uk/ don't have details of Cruden's stones [on-line at any rate].

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry about this I also have George Brook's Dad who married about 1778 Peterhead have had a look on S/P this was with no luck. This George {Boy Wish they used different first names as it does get a bit confusing} he was born 10th April 1754 son of James Brook and Isabella nee Milcolme. Can not find who he was married to all I know is he was married around Peterhead area could even be in Cruden as the family are from there 1778 this family all lived in Cruden. Thank You Liz Hutchison
