Isle of Lewis

For anyone who has an interest in the Isle of Lewis then the Hebridean Connection web site is very useful when used along with Scotland's People. it is a very valuable research resource. There are also links to local Historical Societies.

http://www.hebrideanconnections.com/home.aspx

Information on the site is taken from oral and statuatory sources. Information is freely given and open to all, unlike other genealogy sites in the Hebrides.

Their administrators should be proud of their product.

Hello Calum,
That is a wonderful site indeed! Thanks for posting it. It is a gold mine for anyone with family from that area. I just spent a long time wandering through the links... :D

All the best,
Sarah
