Yoker Glasgow Newspapers

Looking for local Newspapers for Yoker area 1972.
Can't find anything online and wonder if anyone can help locate same.
I have a very faded newspaper cutting /photograph about my Husband's
Grandmother turning 100 and would like to find a better copy if there is
an archive somewhere.

Here’s a list of Strathclyde newspapers for which there are indexes. I’m not sure which if any would be more local to Yoker. Their usefulness to you would depend on whether such events were indexed.

The Glasgow Herald is online for the 60s and part of the 80’s at Google News Archive. Maybe they will get around to the 1970’s later. http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=G ... 4&b_mode=2

Sometimes Photo editing software can be useful for cleaning up old cuttings.

I can't find anything there and I had looked at the Herald but as you say there are no 70s archived.

The Clydebank Post or it might have been the Press still, would have been(still is) the local weekly newspaper.
