Birth and Marriage

Hi All Back again for more help please. I have looked and looked for the birth of John Elliot 1768 and his parents marriage John Elliot and Betty Clark 1765 I have found these names in L.D.S. but after that nothing Have tried Scotspeople and Ancestry many times thinking I may have entered things wrongly. So which way do I turn now. For me it is a I hope not for some else. Will be great to hear from you. Cheers, Trish

I just entered the names in the OPR section - John Elliot, spouse Clark for 1765 and 3 results at Roxburgh came up at SP (probably all the same couple).

Oops I wasn't paying attention, Trish, I think we may be connected I have a very sketchy outline done with LDS (so no documents) of my Father's maternal line and it goes back to your John Elliot and Betty Clark though John Elliot and Betty Taylor, and their daughter Agnes/Anne Elliot who married Robert Armstrong. I haven't been serious about devoting time to it as my Dad's first cousins have been following that line, so I have stuck to his paternal line.

If you want to drop me a pm I can tell you the line down from Agnes and put you in touch with my cousins, who I am told have tracked down a bible (maybe not dating this far back, it is the Armstrong bible) in Wales.
