Irish genealogy CDs

Post by maddymoss » Sat Jul 09, 2011 5:16 pm

Quite a few of my ancestors came from Roscommon, Ireland so this letter in the internet version of the Roscommon Herald caught my eye.
‘Since 2004 I have published a series of Compact Disks (CDs) to aid Local Historians and Family Historians in their County Roscommon research. Production of the CDs has involved years of work and five visits from Australia to Ireland.

The latest edition, Resource County Roscommon 2011 CD, was published on the 3rd June 2011. It includes a number of two or three page narratives, with photographs, submitted by researchers about their Roscommon ancestors, etc.

The letter was from a John Hunter of Australia. Does anyone have any experience of these CDs?

Thanks,
Maddymoss.
