Hello. I wonder if anyone can assist me. I have a record of an ancestor whose marriage was recorded on an Old Parochial Register in 1786. Is there any way to be sure which Church the bride and groom belonged to? I assume it was a Protestant church but is there any way to determine whether it was Church of Scotland or another sect?
Thanks.....

Re: Old Parochial Register
Unless it says otherwise in the entry it's extremely likely, as in 99.99%+, to involve membership of the Established Church of Scotland (The Auld Kirk).phend wrote:Hello.
