I thought TS users might be interested in a superb BBC website about Claude Friese-Green and his pioneering process of producing colour moving images in the 1920's. The series of documentaries on BBC2 have been excellent, however for anyone outside the UK the website has an online archive of the films, including a fair bit of footage of Scotland. It was lovely to see, in colour, the Edinburgh that my Great Grandparents inhabited. There's also some great footage of weavers and the Glasgow docks.

Hi Jean,
I've posted an update on Wee Alex here: http://talkingscot.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 2983#32983
Glad you liked the Beeb website. The final part of the series aired on TV the other night. It featured the Scottish films, I caught glimpses of it in between giving Wee Alex his bath, and looked very interesting.
Best,
Scott
