I have a picture of my GGGrandfather-not sure whether it is Scott-Agr Lab or Young who was a Gardener.There is a mention of the "Lodge of Loyal Gardeners" & was Penicuik or surrounding areas based.
It also raised the funds for a War Memorial for the WW1 fallen in Penicuik & suggested a sum of £20 as a donation from the Widow of my Great-Uncle who told them if she had such a sum she would feed her four children with it!
