West Virginia BMD records

Post by garibaldired » Wed Jul 05, 2006 2:40 pm

Has anyone else noticed that there is now a link from
www.familysearch.org to West Virginia BMD records? They are not yet complete but I have been able to find some of my emigrant Scots.

Very incomplete at present, couldn't find any of about 200 McCurdys, 86 McFaul/McPhail/McFall in the area in the my database. I have details on these folk.
Searching for Keogh, Kelly, Fitzgerald, Riddell, Stewart, Wilson, McQuilkin, Lynch, Boyle, Cairney, Ross, King, McIlravey, McCurdy, Drennan and Woods (to name but a few).

Also looking for any information on Rathlin Island, County Antrim, Ireland.

Sorry, just looked at the deaths and there are 26 listed plus two marriages, guess the Births haven't caught up yet

I just thought it was pretty impressive that the scanned images are available - for free!
