Has anyone undertaken any research about covenanters in Glassford (or Lanarkshire generally)?

Apart from the standard historical texts, what current genealogical research is available? Is there an historical society consecrated to the study of covenanters in Lanarkshire?

I am specifically interested in Gavin Paterson of Nethershields and the process against him for treason for participating in the 1679 rebellion.
