Is it worth the £70 annual charge?
I've thought about it long and weary. I just wonder if anyone here is already a member and thinks it's worth the money.
Thanks

Hi Miss Poohs,
I've been a member for about 9 months now. Its very useful when you're starting your research but I'm not sure when you have found most of your main lines. Some of the family trees on there are very inaccurate - I found one which stated a child was born to a mum aged 71
. Ok maybe not completely impossible but highly unlikely. At the moment its great for the 1851/61 census but apparently you can get that free just now so you pays your money and takes your choice

Searching for Barclay Aberdeenshire, Stewart Edinburgh, Brown Edinburgh & Uphall, Finlayson E Lothian, Fairley & Renton E & W Lothian for starters!

Hi Miss Poohs,
You probably have done this but you can get a 14 day free trial which gives you a fair idea of whether you'd use it or not.
Another option is to save up all your queries and then buy a month's membership at £9.95 and go wild for 30 days, sometimes that works out more economical.
i'm a bit like you, not sure whether to go the whole hog as not sure quite how much I'd use it, then again if anything like the past few days freeby is anything to go by, it's probably in the interests of my health & sanity not to.
Best wishes
