Found a website listing people who served within the Royal Artillery 1760 to 1854.

http://bps.freehosting.net/ ---- There are a fair few popups since it is a free host.

Thanks! I went on and straight away found my "Chelsea Pensioner (qunner Royk An Liblery" \:D/ It told me how long he had served, when he was discharged and how old he was at the time. So now I have to get the full record at Kew? Okay, I need another trip to the UK 8)
All the best,
Sarah

If you email TNA they will give you a quote for copies of these records.

Are you trying to discourage me from taking another trip to the U.K.? :( I promise I won't lose my voice next time... 8-[

Seriously... thanks, David! I'll give it a try.

There may well be other interesting records in other record classes, but TNA won't do the research for you, - I can recommend the name of a very experienced and expert military records researcher at Kew............

Thanks, David. I'll let you know if I decide to hire a researcher. At the moment I don't have very many military folk to look for... but that could change at any moment, as we all well know. :D
