WARNING MESSAGE FROM THE AG OF TS
WARNING MESSAGE TO THE MEMBERS OF TALKINGSCOT.
AS WITH ANY WEBSITE ON THE WWW, FROM TIME TO TIME, WE HAVE THE DISPLEASURE OF "UNWELCOME MEMBERS" JOINING OUR SITE!
WE THEREFORE ADVISE YOU TO READ THE FOLLOWING ADVICE:
To never click on a link that sounds "too good to be true", particularly in a case, where a member only joined TS. Any link you see anywhere on the web that you are unsure of, err on the safe side and don't trust it. There are so many of these types out there trying to plant these trojans in the PCs of many people.

Thank you for posting this warning.
While I might judge myself to be fairly knowledgeable about these things, even I have been caught by such links in seemingly "nice" forums.

Thank you for that, I was caught out with that today when a helpful family member thought he'd click it while I was making a cuppa! Needless to say it toook me three hours to right the damage it had done and there was much cursing and gnashing of teeth!

Hi Sheila
Best wishes
Lesley
No idea - they need to take up something that occupies their wee brains in a more productive way that doesn't leave them any free time to get into trouble ...like, er, investigating their family tree. Why do they do it? What do they get out of it? It makes no sense to me at all.
Best wishes
Lesley
