Fortunately for me....it was just the right range of years to start with.
Have just now found and viewed my GrGrandfather's emigration....which led me to New York (when I always thought he must have come through Boston) and there in the ancestry databases which have been updated and I had not been back to retest them lately.....he arrived safe and sound!!
An interesting twist.....I doubted I had found the right fellow based on the departure as they had his occupation listed as clerk...but was right name..right age...likely departure port......but knowing the ship's name led me to the receiving end and this time they had it right!! He was a joiner from Ayr. Say no more.
A very emotional JustJean just now

Coverage extended
I've just been on this site again (www.findmypast.com) as I've been waiting for them to update the years. Thought others might be interested to know that it now covers sailings up to 1919 (years are 1890 to 1919).
The extra 10 years were just what I was waiting for. Finally found my missing GG aunt - off to Australia in 1913.
Regards
Tom
