Hi,
I tried this and it seems a very ingenious way to get accurate matches-- everyone inputs the standardized district, page, etc. information from the 1881 or 1880 census (England & Wales, Scotland, Canada or U.S.) as well as the name and age of the relative exactly as given in the census transcription, correct or not, and the matches can then be made automatically. I had a problem inputting a district number from the Canadian census and was getting an inexplicable error message. I sent a contact email that was answered very quickly, by a real person, who then got on it and fixed it right away (with an apology that things were slower, it being a Sunday
)-- very impressive service! All in all, seems like a well-run site.
Thanks for the link, Frances,
Sarah
