Hi everyone,
I noticed this in another post:
By the way - the Hugh Wallace site Jean mentioned is a real treasure.
I would like to know more? Thanks, alysone

Hi Alysone
The Hugh Wallis site can be found at:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~hughwallis/

He has listed all the batch numbers for the IGI database whcih can be a great help when you just want to see for instance all the Parker births in a particular parish at a particular time. You dont need to know first names, as you would if you were querying the IGI. Lots of other uses too: it's good for finding those names which are always transcribed wrongly!

The IGI middle name indexes can be pretty useful too and lead to some interesting meanders into possible relatives which you may not have bumped into otherwise.

Best wishes
Lesley

Thanks Leslie for introducing me to the Hugh Wallis site.
I found a new relative on my first pass. There is such a lot to learn here at TS. Every time I come I learn a new trick or two! alysone
